Economics Seminar for National Business Editors Workshop
 
The Economics of Energy, a special seminar for the annual training conference of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, was held in New York City at Bloomberg News World Headquarters October 31st.

This seminar was taught by Professor Joseph Kalt of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. It is part of the Institute's Economics and Public Policy Project conducted with the Thomas R. Brown Foundations.

Dr. Kalt provided the journalists an overview of the energy challenges faced by the world through an economics perspective. Participating journalists represented such organizations as the Wall Street Journal, Newsday, Associated Press, Hartford Courant, Dow Jones, and many others. The Institute energy program reached more than 60 editors across the nation and included the program and distribution of the new DVD -- Energy & America -- released by the Institute.
