Symposium: Confronting Workers' Compensation
The Communications Institute - in conjunction with the RAND Corporation’s Institute for Civil Justice (ICJ), and the University of Southern California Law School and the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation - conducted a major statewide conference Feb. 10, 2004. The conference was attended by hundreds of leaders from government, labor, business, and the community along with journalists covering the story. See the agenda here.
Research from the conference was included in the final reform bill passed by the legislature and signed into law by Governor Schwarzenegger. See these resources provided by presenters at the conference.
